# Finalist vs adesso.

The clearest difference is ratings volume: Finalist at 512 against adesso.'s 5. Finalist also leads on rating (4.7 vs 4.4) and update cadence (every 10 days vs every 3 weeks). adesso.'s advantage is review sentiment (100% vs 76%). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Finalist sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days and adesso. sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Finalist holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Finalist has 512 ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 76% of Finalist's written reviews are positive against 100% of adesso.'s, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Finalist ships an update every 10 days, adesso. every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 27, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
