# Solvo vs mathcelebrity

The clearest difference is review sentiment: mathcelebrity at 100% against Solvo's 53%. mathcelebrity also leads on iOS requirement (12.4 vs 18.0). Solvo's advantage is rating (4.6 vs 4.0) and monetization model (freemium vs subscription). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Solvo sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days and mathcelebrity sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Solvo holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Solvo has 5.7K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 53% of Solvo's written reviews are positive against 100% of mathcelebrity's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Solvo ships an update fortnightly, mathcelebrity every 2 months. Both last shipped on November 3, 2026.
