# Shot Pattern vs SKYTRAK

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Shot Pattern at 67% against SKYTRAK's 13%. Shot Pattern also leads on rating (4.8 vs 2.6) and update cadence (every 3 days vs every 6 weeks). SKYTRAK's advantage is monetization model (ad-supported vs free with in-app purchases) and iOS requirement (16.0 vs 18.0). On price, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Shot Pattern sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $11.99 per month and SKYTRAK sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $129.99 per year. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Shot Pattern holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 2.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Shot Pattern has 2.1K ratings behind it against 61, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 67% of Shot Pattern's written reviews are positive against 13% of SKYTRAK's.

Shot Pattern ships an update every 3 days, SKYTRAK every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 20, 2026 and October 16, 2026 respectively.
