# Shot Pattern vs golfWaze

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: golfWaze at none against Shot Pattern's 8. golfWaze also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.8) and iOS requirement (16.0 vs 18.0). Shot Pattern's advantage is update cadence (every 3 days vs monthly) and ratings volume (2.1K vs 1). On price and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Shot Pattern sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $11.99 per month. golfWaze asks for nothing beyond the download.

golfWaze holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Shot Pattern has 2.1K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.
