The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Sisyphus Tasks at none against Defer's 2. Defer's advantage is update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 2 months) and review sentiment (91% vs 75%). On price, rating, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Defer sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. Sisyphus Tasks asks for nothing beyond the download.

Sisyphus Tasks holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 6 and 23 respectively.
