# Countdown vs Countdown

The clearest difference is rating: Countdown at 5.0 against Countdown's 4.5. Countdown also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 23) and ads (none vs shown). Countdown's advantage is update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 10 months) and ratings volume (103 vs 4). On price, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Countdown sells 23 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per 7 days. Countdown asks for nothing beyond the download.

Countdown holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Countdown has 103 ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Countdown ships an update every 10 months, Countdown every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 7, 2026 and October 10, 2026 respectively.
