# CoolEar vs ARMITRON CONNECT

The clearest difference is review sentiment: CoolEar at 100% against ARMITRON CONNECT's 44%. ARMITRON CONNECT's advantage is rating (3.9 vs 2.5) and update cadence (monthly vs every 20 months). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

ARMITRON CONNECT holds the better App Store score, 3.9 against 2.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: ARMITRON CONNECT has 416 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of CoolEar's written reviews are positive against 44% of ARMITRON CONNECT's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

CoolEar ships an update every 20 months, ARMITRON CONNECT monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 9, 2026 and October 16, 2026 respectively.
