# Mega Music vs Lyrix

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Mega Music at 100% against Lyrix's 13%. Mega Music also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.7) and iOS requirement (14.0 vs 17). Lyrix's advantage is ratings volume (7.2K vs 3) and chart position (#112 vs unranked). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Mega Music sells 6 one-off in-app purchases and Lyrix sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Mega Music holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Lyrix has 7.2K ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 100% of Mega Music's written reviews are positive against 13% of Lyrix's.

Mega Music ships an update every 3 weeks, Lyrix every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 14, 2026 and October 20, 2026 respectively.
