# Notepad vs NotesApp

The clearest difference is update cadence: NotesApp at every 2 weeks against Notepad's every 11 months. NotesApp also leads on iOS requirement (14.0 vs 16.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Notepad sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and NotesApp sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Notepad ships an update every 11 months, NotesApp every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 2, 2026 and October 3, 2026 respectively.
