# Presto vs Element LMR

The clearest difference is monetization model: Element LMR at free against Presto's free with in-app purchases. Presto's advantage is ratings volume (6.1K vs 2) and chart position (#178 vs unranked). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for Presto against 5.0 for Element LMR. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Presto has 6.1K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Presto ships an update every 2 weeks, Element LMR every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 27, 2026 and October 22, 2026 respectively.
