# Blackwork Pattern Creator vs IrisFold

The clearest difference is update cadence: IrisFold at every 2 weeks against Blackwork Pattern Creator's every 4 months. Blackwork Pattern Creator's advantage is iOS requirement (13.0 vs 17.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Blackwork Pattern Creator sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and IrisFold sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
