# Gallery Lock vs Aimeo

The clearest difference is update cadence: Aimeo at every 4 days against Gallery Lock's every 5 weeks. Aimeo also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.6). Gallery Lock's advantage is ratings volume (1.8K vs 1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Gallery Lock sells 19 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per 7 days and Aimeo sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Aimeo holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Gallery Lock has 1.8K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Gallery Lock ships an update every 5 weeks, Aimeo every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on October 25, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
