# Write Letters vs ABC

Write Letters and ABC both sit at 4.3 stars, but that hides the real split: 100% of Write Letters's written reviews are positive against 44% of ABC's. ABC's advantage is ratings volume (3.1K vs 31) and update cadence (every 4 months vs every 9 months). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Write Letters sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $2.99 per 7 days and ABC sells 12 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.3 for Write Letters against 4.1 for ABC. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: ABC has 3.1K ratings behind it against 31, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 100% of Write Letters's written reviews are positive against 44% of ABC's.

Write Letters ships an update every 9 months, ABC every 4 months. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
