# iTimely vs Barely Notes

The clearest difference is update cadence: Barely Notes at every 11 days against iTimely's monthly. iTimely's advantage is device support (4 vs 1) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 26.0). On price, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. iTimely sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month and Barely Notes sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

iTimely ships an update monthly, Barely Notes every 11 days. The most recent releases landed on November 3, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
