# Kindle Clippings vs SendMyEbook

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Kindle Clippings at none against SendMyEbook's 3. Kindle Clippings also leads on ratings volume (10 vs 1) and review sentiment (67% vs 57%). SendMyEbook's advantage is update cadence (fortnightly vs every 6 weeks) and rating (5.0 vs 4.8). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. SendMyEbook sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. Kindle Clippings asks for nothing beyond the download.

SendMyEbook holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Kindle Clippings has 10 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 67% of Kindle Clippings's written reviews are positive against 57% of SendMyEbook's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Kindle Clippings ships an update every 6 weeks, SendMyEbook fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on November 3, 2026 and November 5, 2026 respectively.
