# The Nimbus vs Postnote

The clearest difference is update cadence: Postnote at every 6 weeks against The Nimbus's every 7 months. The Nimbus's advantage is iOS requirement (13.0 vs 17.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. The Nimbus sells 3 one-off in-app purchases and Postnote sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

The Nimbus ships an update every 7 months, Postnote every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 7, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
