# PhotoGrid vs Parallel

The clearest difference is ads: Parallel at none against PhotoGrid's shown. Parallel also leads on update cadence (every 2 days vs every 6 weeks). On price, in-app purchases, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. PhotoGrid sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month and Parallel sells 3 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

PhotoGrid ships an update every 6 weeks, Parallel every 2 days. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
