# Netflix Game Controller vs ColdTrace

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Netflix Game Controller at none against ColdTrace's 8. Netflix Game Controller also leads on ads (none vs shown) and review sentiment (56% vs 36%). ColdTrace's advantage is rating (4.8 vs 4.6) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 17.0). On price, update cadence and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. ColdTrace sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per 7 days. Netflix Game Controller asks for nothing beyond the download.

ColdTrace holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Netflix Game Controller has 232K ratings behind it against 5.8K, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 56% of Netflix Game Controller's written reviews are positive against 36% of ColdTrace's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Netflix Game Controller ships an update weekly, ColdTrace every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on October 16, 2026 and October 15, 2026 respectively.
