# perfume.com vs GiftExpress

perfume.com and GiftExpress both sit at 4.8 stars, but that hides the real split: 100% of GiftExpress's written reviews are positive against 29% of perfume.com's. GiftExpress also leads on update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 7 months). perfume.com's advantage is ratings volume (1.1K vs 4) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 16.6). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

GiftExpress holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: perfume.com has 1.1K ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 29% of perfume.com's written reviews are positive against 100% of GiftExpress's.

perfume.com ships an update every 7 months, GiftExpress every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 3, 2026 and October 28, 2026 respectively.
