# SeaPeople vs Explore Middlesex VA

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Explore Middlesex VA at none against SeaPeople's 8. Explore Middlesex VA also leads on review sentiment (100% vs 90%). SeaPeople's advantage is ratings volume (1.2K vs 7) and update cadence (every 5 weeks vs every 4 months). On price, rating, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. SeaPeople sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per month. Explore Middlesex VA asks for nothing beyond the download.

SeaPeople holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: SeaPeople has 1.2K ratings behind it against 7, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 90% of SeaPeople's written reviews are positive against 100% of Explore Middlesex VA's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

SeaPeople ships an update every 5 weeks, Explore Middlesex VA every 4 months. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
