# SeaPeople vs Float Plan Messenger

The clearest difference is rating: SeaPeople at 4.9 against Float Plan Messenger's 4.5. SeaPeople also leads on ratings volume (1.1K vs 2) and chart position (#139 vs unranked). Float Plan Messenger's advantage is update cadence (fortnightly vs every 5 weeks). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. SeaPeople sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per month and Float Plan Messenger sells 3 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

SeaPeople holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: SeaPeople has 1.1K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

SeaPeople ships an update every 5 weeks, Float Plan Messenger fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 1, 2026 and September 19, 2026 respectively.
