# Castly+ vs TuneBeat Ultra

Castly+ and TuneBeat Ultra both sit at 4.7 stars, but that hides the real split: 100% of TuneBeat Ultra's written reviews are positive against 35% of Castly+'s. Castly+'s advantage is ratings volume (14K vs 12) and chart position (#134 vs unranked). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Castly+ sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per 7 days and TuneBeat Ultra sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

TuneBeat Ultra holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Castly+ has 14K ratings behind it against 12, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 35% of Castly+'s written reviews are positive against 100% of TuneBeat Ultra's.

Castly+ ships an update every 2 months, TuneBeat Ultra every 5 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 5, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
