# FireTexts vs Raised Right

The clearest difference is rating: Raised Right at 5.0 against FireTexts's 4.5. Raised Right also leads on update cadence (every 5 days vs every 2 months). FireTexts's advantage is ratings volume (31 vs 1) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 17.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. FireTexts sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month and Raised Right sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Raised Right holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: FireTexts has 31 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

FireTexts ships an update every 2 months, Raised Right every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on October 21, 2026 and October 10, 2026 respectively.
