# TalkAI vs 英语宝

The clearest difference is rating: TalkAI at 4.8 against 英语宝's 3.7. TalkAI also leads on ratings volume (2.4K vs 7). On price, review sentiment, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. TalkAI sells 21 in-app purchases, starting at $12.99 per month and 英语宝 sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

TalkAI holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 3.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: TalkAI has 2.4K ratings behind it against 7, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 94% of TalkAI's written reviews are positive against 100% of 英语宝's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

TalkAI ships an update every 8 days, 英语宝 fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 13, 2026 and October 7, 2026 respectively.
