# FlexNow vs Tesla Robotaxi

The clearest difference is monetization model: FlexNow at free against Tesla Robotaxi's free with in-app purchases. FlexNow also leads on review sentiment (100% vs 85%) and iOS requirement (16.0 vs 18.0). Tesla Robotaxi's advantage is ratings volume (9.5K vs 16) and update cadence (fortnightly vs every 2 months). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for FlexNow against 4.9 for Tesla Robotaxi. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Tesla Robotaxi has 9.5K ratings behind it against 16, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 100% of FlexNow's written reviews are positive against 85% of Tesla Robotaxi's.

FlexNow ships an update every 2 months, Tesla Robotaxi fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 12, 2026 and October 18, 2026 respectively.
