# Re vs Promise

The clearest difference is ads: Promise at none against Re's shown. Promise also leads on update cadence (fortnightly vs every 5 weeks). Re's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.6) and review sentiment (100% vs 86%). On price, ratings volume, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Re sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $50.00 per month and Promise sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Re holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 5 and 11 respectively. Written reviews point the same way: 100% of Re's written reviews are positive against 86% of Promise's.

Re ships an update every 5 weeks, Promise fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on September 30, 2026 and October 1, 2026 respectively.
