# FirstVPN vs BritVPN

The clearest difference is rating: FirstVPN at 5.0 against BritVPN's 3.0. FirstVPN also leads on iOS requirement (15.0 vs 17.0). BritVPN's advantage is update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 4 months). On price, ratings volume, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. FirstVPN sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $8.99 per month and BritVPN sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

FirstVPN ships an update every 4 months, BritVPN every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 10, 2026 and October 18, 2026 respectively.
