# Lily AI vs Scribd

The clearest difference is rating: Lily AI at 4.8 against Scribd's 2.8. Lily AI also leads on monetization model (free with in-app purchases vs subscription) and review sentiment (25% vs 14%). Scribd's advantage is ratings volume (275 vs 18) and chart position (#135 vs unranked). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Lily AI sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per 7 days and Scribd sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Lily AI holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 2.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Scribd has 275 ratings behind it against 18, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 25% of Lily AI's written reviews are positive against 14% of Scribd's.

Lily AI ships an update every 3 weeks, Scribd fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on September 29, 2026 and October 16, 2026 respectively.
