# HOME FOOD Plus vs Prep'd

The clearest difference is rating: HOME FOOD Plus at 5.0 against Prep'd's 4.4. HOME FOOD Plus also leads on update cadence (every 6 days vs fortnightly) and monetization model (free vs ad-supported). Prep'd's advantage is ratings volume (40 vs 2). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

HOME FOOD Plus holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Prep'd has 40 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

HOME FOOD Plus ships an update every 6 days, Prep'd fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on November 3, 2026 and November 4, 2026 respectively.
