# HushTales vs Lush

The clearest difference is ads: HushTales at none against Lush's shown. HushTales also leads on rating (3.9 vs 3.4) and update cadence (monthly vs every 3 months). Lush's advantage is review sentiment (75% vs 50%). On price, ratings volume, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. HushTales sells 3 one-off in-app purchases and Lush sells 10 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

HushTales holds the better App Store score, 3.9 against 3.4. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 7 and 8 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 50% of HushTales's written reviews are positive against 75% of Lush's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

HushTales ships an update monthly, Lush every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on November 3, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
