# Superimpose vs Macro Lens

The clearest difference is rating: Macro Lens at 3.6 against Superimpose's 3.0. Macro Lens also leads on chart position (#161 vs unranked). Superimpose's advantage is price ($0.99 vs $4.99) and update cadence (every 9 days vs monthly). On review sentiment, ratings volume, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Superimpose costs $0.99 and Macro Lens $4.99 up front. Superimpose sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Macro Lens sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Macro Lens holds the better App Store score, 3.6 against 3.0. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 2 and 5 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 75% of Superimpose's written reviews are positive against 73% of Macro Lens's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Superimpose ships an update every 9 days, Macro Lens monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 28, 2026 and October 27, 2026 respectively.
