# Carrot Express vs Happea's

The clearest difference is rating: Happea's at 4.5 against Carrot Express's 3.1. Happea's also leads on monetization model (free vs ad-supported) and update cadence (monthly vs every 2 months). Carrot Express's advantage is review sentiment (19% vs 0%) and ratings volume (171 vs 15). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Happea's holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 3.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Carrot Express has 171 ratings behind it against 15, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 19% of Carrot Express's written reviews are positive against 0% of Happea's's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Carrot Express ships an update every 2 months, Happea's monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 4, 2026 and October 6, 2026 respectively.
