# Immersive Translate vs Afterdays

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Afterdays at none against Immersive Translate's 7. Afterdays also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.6) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.5). Immersive Translate's advantage is update cadence (fortnightly vs every 3 months) and ratings volume (566 vs 1). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Immersive Translate sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. Afterdays asks for nothing beyond the download.

Afterdays holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Immersive Translate has 566 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Immersive Translate ships an update fortnightly, Afterdays every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on November 3, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
