# APY vs Expensed

The clearest difference is ads: Expensed at none against APY's shown. Expensed also leads on update cadence (weekly vs every 8 months). On price, in-app purchases, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. APY sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month and Expensed sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

APY ships an update every 8 months, Expensed weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 8, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
