# AI Assistant vs AI Chat

The clearest difference is iOS requirement: AI Assistant at 11.0 against AI Chat's 16.2. On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. AI Assistant sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month and AI Chat sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
