# Russian vs ScriptPad

The clearest difference is rating: ScriptPad at 5.0 against Russian's 3.0. ScriptPad also leads on ads (none vs shown). On price, ratings volume, update cadence and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Russian sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per month and ScriptPad sells 9 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Russian ships an update every 3 weeks, ScriptPad fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on November 7, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
