# Solid Notes vs Reteum

The clearest difference is update cadence: Reteum at every 2 days against Solid Notes's every 9 days. Solid Notes's advantage is device support (3 vs 1) and iOS requirement (16.0 vs 26.0). On price, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Solid Notes sells 2 one-off in-app purchases and Reteum sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $24.99 per year. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Solid Notes ships an update every 9 days, Reteum every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on October 21, 2026 and October 26, 2026 respectively.
