# APIConnect vs Parrot

The clearest difference is rating: Parrot at 4.7 against APIConnect's 4.0. Parrot also leads on ratings volume (18K vs 5) and update cadence (weekly vs every 3 weeks). APIConnect's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 10) and ads (none vs shown). On price, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Parrot sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per 7 days. APIConnect asks for nothing beyond the download.

Parrot holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Parrot has 18K ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two.

APIConnect ships an update every 3 weeks, Parrot weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 27, 2026 and November 4, 2026 respectively.
