# Praise vs Prayer Journal

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Praise at none against Prayer Journal's 10. Praise also leads on iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.6). Prayer Journal's advantage is update cadence (every 11 days vs every 7 months) and ratings volume (347 vs 3). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Prayer Journal sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. Praise asks for nothing beyond the download.

Prayer Journal holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Prayer Journal has 347 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Praise ships an update every 7 months, Prayer Journal every 11 days. The most recent releases landed on October 20, 2026 and October 23, 2026 respectively.
