# Language Diary vs DRAWER

The clearest difference is rating: DRAWER at 4.9 against Language Diary's 4.4. Language Diary's advantage is review sentiment (89% vs 56%). On price, ratings volume, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Language Diary sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month and DRAWER sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

DRAWER holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.4. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 27 and 30 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 89% of Language Diary's written reviews are positive against 56% of DRAWER's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Language Diary ships an update every 3 days, DRAWER every 4 days. Both last shipped on October 30, 2026.
