# Transcender vs Evil Sword

Transcender and Evil Sword both sit at 4.4 stars, but that hides the real split: 96% of Transcender's written reviews are positive against 40% of Evil Sword's. Transcender also leads on update cadence (every 6 days vs every 2 months) and ratings volume (12 vs 2). Evil Sword's advantage is ads (none vs shown). On price, rating, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Transcender sells 6 one-off in-app purchases and Evil Sword sells 12 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.4 for Transcender against 4.5 for Evil Sword. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Transcender has 12 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 96% of Transcender's written reviews are positive against 40% of Evil Sword's.

Transcender ships an update every 6 days, Evil Sword every 2 months. Both last shipped on October 30, 2026.
