# Puppet Lord 3D vs Dark Blob

Puppet Lord 3D and Dark Blob both sit at 4.3 stars, but that hides the real split: 86% of Dark Blob's written reviews are positive against 44% of Puppet Lord 3D's. Puppet Lord 3D's advantage is ratings volume (470 vs 45). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Puppet Lord 3D sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Dark Blob sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Puppet Lord 3D holds the better App Store score, 4.3 against 4.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Puppet Lord 3D has 470 ratings behind it against 45, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 44% of Puppet Lord 3D's written reviews are positive against 86% of Dark Blob's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Puppet Lord 3D ships an update every 3 months, Dark Blob every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 27, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
