# BYLT Basics vs OluKai

The clearest difference is monetization model: BYLT Basics at ad-supported against OluKai's free with in-app purchases. BYLT Basics also leads on ratings volume (8.5K vs 1.1K). OluKai's advantage is iOS requirement (16.4 vs 18.0). On price, rating, review sentiment and update cadence there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for BYLT Basics against 4.9 for OluKai. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: BYLT Basics has 8.5K ratings behind it against 1.1K, so its average is the more settled of the two.
