# MathSnap vs Homework Helper

The clearest difference is ads: MathSnap at none against Homework Helper's shown. MathSnap also leads on rating (4.5 vs 4.3) and ratings volume (1.4K vs 119). Homework Helper's advantage is review sentiment (83% vs 70%). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. MathSnap sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per 7 days and Homework Helper sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

MathSnap holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: MathSnap has 1.4K ratings behind it against 119, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 70% of MathSnap's written reviews are positive against 83% of Homework Helper's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

MathSnap ships an update every 3 weeks, Homework Helper every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 1, 2026 and September 29, 2026 respectively.
