# Doc vs 100 Lights

The clearest difference is rating: 100 Lights at 5.0 against Doc's 3.6. Doc's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 1) and update cadence (weekly vs every 2 months). On price, ads, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. 100 Lights sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Doc asks for nothing beyond the download.

100 Lights holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 3.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Doc has 9 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Doc ships an update weekly, 100 Lights every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 15, 2026 and October 10, 2026 respectively.
