# Swift Paperless vs ShiftLedger

The clearest difference is update cadence: ShiftLedger at every 2 days against Swift Paperless's monthly. Swift Paperless's advantage is ratings volume (72 vs 1). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Swift Paperless sells 4 one-off in-app purchases and ShiftLedger sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for Swift Paperless against 5.0 for ShiftLedger. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Swift Paperless has 72 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Swift Paperless ships an update monthly, ShiftLedger every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on October 15, 2026 and October 9, 2026 respectively.
