# Wildfire Tracker vs WildFire

The clearest difference is review sentiment: WildFire at 91% against Wildfire Tracker's 46%. WildFire also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 16). Wildfire Tracker's advantage is rating (4.5 vs 4.1) and ratings volume (182 vs 7). On price, ads, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Wildfire Tracker sells 15 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per 7 days. WildFire asks for nothing beyond the download.

Wildfire Tracker holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 4.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Wildfire Tracker has 182 ratings behind it against 7, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 46% of Wildfire Tracker's written reviews are positive against 91% of WildFire's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Wildfire Tracker ships an update every 2 weeks, WildFire every 5 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 17, 2026 and October 4, 2026 respectively.
