# Brick vs Hype Doc

The clearest difference is monetization model: Hype Doc at free against Brick's paid. Brick's advantage is update cadence (every 4 days vs every 4 weeks) and ratings volume (59K vs 1). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for Brick against 5.0 for Hype Doc. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Brick has 59K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Brick ships an update every 4 days, Hype Doc every 4 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 30, 2026 and October 13, 2026 respectively.
