# BoardNotes vs Noting Pro

The clearest difference is rating: BoardNotes at 4.7 against Noting Pro's 4.2. BoardNotes also leads on review sentiment (81% vs 60%) and ratings volume (115 vs 9). Noting Pro's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (every 3 days vs every 10 days). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. BoardNotes sells 23 one-off in-app purchases and Noting Pro sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

BoardNotes holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: BoardNotes has 115 ratings behind it against 9, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 81% of BoardNotes's written reviews are positive against 60% of Noting Pro's.

BoardNotes ships an update every 10 days, Noting Pro every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on October 2, 2026 and October 1, 2026 respectively.
