# Bible Chat vs HeyGod

The clearest difference is ratings volume: Bible Chat at 372K against HeyGod's 214. Bible Chat also leads on review sentiment (84% vs 67%) and chart position (#1 vs unranked). HeyGod's advantage is iOS requirement (15.1 vs 17.0). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Bible Chat sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days and HeyGod sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for Bible Chat against 4.9 for HeyGod. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Bible Chat has 372K ratings behind it against 214, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 84% of Bible Chat's written reviews are positive against 67% of HeyGod's.

Bible Chat ships an update every 5 days, HeyGod every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on November 6, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
